In the city of Chilelabwe, located in the north of Zabia about 450 kilometers from the capital of the Lusaki country in a crush, 12 fans were killed at the football stadium.

According to RIA Novosti , the crush arose on Saturday evening after the end of the football match between the local team and the Congo-Blazaville team. Zambia won with a score of 3-0, and the fans were in a hurry to leave the stadium to celebrate the success of the national team.

"The crush arose due to the fact that only a few exits from the arena were opened, while many people tried to leave the stadium. 12 people died: 9 men and 3 women," said the head of the local police Antonnell Mutentva. According to him, the fans were trampled by their own comrades.
