The names of the State Prize laureates have been announced
Vladimir Putin signed a decree on awarding State Prizes in the fields of literature and art, science and technology.
After changes to the state bonus system were adopted in 2004 , six State Prizes of 5 million rubles each remained. each - three in the field of science and technology, three in the field of literature and art. All awards are personal in nature, but can also be awarded to a team of applicants consisting of no more than three people.
This year, the State Prize for “outstanding achievements in the field of humanitarian work”, established last year, is being awarded for the second time. Last time it was awarded to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II . This year its laureate was Alexander Solzhenitsyn. This is how the writer’s wife, Natalya Solzhenitsyna, commented on this news to Vremya Novostey: “This high assessment of the expert community gives hope that the experience of self-destruction of Russian history of the 20th century, to the description and study of which Alexander Isaevich devoted, one might say, his entire life, will be like- then it is learned and taken into account by our people. Of course, it would be nice to have such hope at least towards the end of life. Great enthusiasm, of course, is not being shown, but there is, so to speak, some hope...” In addition, Alexander Isaevich expresses the hope that the “Red Wheel” series of novels will now be read more carefully. By the way, very soon, on Thursday, the Vremya publishing house will publish the ninth and tenth volumes of Solzhenitsyn’s 30-volume collected works, and by June 12, when the State Prize award ceremony will take place, the just published “October of the Sixteenth” will be handed over to the author.
One of the awards in the field of science and technology was shared by two acoustic scientists - Yuri Gulyaev and Vladislav Pustovoit, noted “for fundamental and applied research on the creation of acousto-optics and acoustoelectronics.” Using the theory they developed, they were able to construct a number of unique devices that make it possible to control acoustic signals, including encoding and decoding them. The second prize went to three developers of underwater technology - Sergei Kovalev, general designer of strategic missile submarines at the Rubin Central Marine Engineering Design Bureau, Igor Spassky, general designer of the Rubin Central Design Bureau, David Pashayev, president of the State Russian Nuclear Shipbuilding Center - - for the design, creation and development of three generations of nuclear missile submarines. The third prize was awarded to world-famous neurosurgeon Alexander Konovalov.
Laureates in the field of literature and art “for outstanding contribution to the preservation and development of domestic and world cinema” were representatives of the State Film Fund - General Director Nikolai Borodachev, Chief Specialist Irina Vasina and First Deputy General Director and Artistic Director of the White Pillars Archive Film Festival Vladimir Dmitriev. Mariinsky Theater opera singer Olga Borodina was awarded for her contribution to Russian and world musical art. For the development of the traditions of Russian ballet, the prize was received by the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater ballet troupe Svetlana Zakharova.
The award ceremony will take place on June 12, Russia Day, in the St. George Hall of the Kremlin Palace.
