Media rating from Media Union
The rating was compiled based on the results of monitoring media reports from the largest Russian database "Integrum-Techno" for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2006.
The objects of monitoring were:
central Russian press - 976 publications;
regional Russian press - 1921 publications;
Russian-language online news resources - 774 sources.
Query language was conducted in natural language using combinations of words, Boolean operators, and context constraints.
When preparing the rating, mentions of news agencies in their own publications or on their websites were not taken into account.
