Hugo Chavez will perform in the Russian State Duma

Venezuela President Hugo Chavez will perform in the State Duma of Russia on June 29. According to ITAR-TASS, this was announced by Monday Vice Speaker of the Chamber Sergey Baburin. Chavez will visit the lower house of the Russian parliament as part of an official visit to Russia. His performance will take place in the stamp hall of the State Duma building in Okhotny Ryad.

It is assumed that representatives of the leadership of the Chamber, the Committee on International Affairs, as well as parliamentarians, "interested in the development of Russian-Venesuel relations," said Baburin.

Earlier, the State Duma speaker Boris Gryzlov said that about 60 deputies want to listen to Chavez.

In particular, at the performance of the Venezuelan leader in the State Duma, the Communist Party faction insisted. The first deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Ivan Melnikov, said that the Communist Party faction sent the Venezuela to the official proposal to the Chavez in advance to meet Russian parliamentarians. At the same time, the Communists wanted Chavez to speak at the plenary meeting of the State Duma, however, the speaker of the State Duma of Gryzlov said that this did not provide for the regulations, and the meeting was decided to hold in the stamp room.

Hugo Chavez will become the third head of the foreign state to whom the word in the State Duma will be given. Earlier there were the presidents of Kazakhstan and Belarus Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko.

The representative of the Venezuela embassy in Moscow told RIA Novosti that "the head of Venezuela will be in Moscow on June 28-29, and 30 will visit Rostov-on-Don."
