Vladimir Putin should become a life -lifelong president of Russia, said Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov. “As long as he has health, we must ask him to kneel to rule the state,” he said in an interview with Kommersant -Vlast magazine.

“If we want to maintain the integrity of Russia, if we want us to have a great power of Russia, then President Putin should be,” Kadyrov said. “Why can you be president in Kazakhstan? Or in Turkmenistan? Why can't this be in Russia?”

“Putin gave the second life to the Chechen people!” Says Kadyrov. “Allah appointed him to this place ... Putin is the gift of God, he gave us freedom.”

Answering the question of whether there is no Ramzan Kadyrov’s personality in Chechnya, the president of the republic said that the personality cult "may be in the good sense of the word."

“If I spend the policies of the federal center, if today 94-95 percent of the population supports this policy and if they hung photos somewhere there, it does not mean a personality cult,” he believes. “This means the correctness of politics. If you burn portraits, tear them, it would be bad. And you will look even if a portrait of Putin or Kadyrov is hanging in the forest, no one will touch.”
