Human rights activists called on the Prosecutor General’s Office to check the activities of the Eurasian Youth Union

Human rights activists urge the Prosecutor General and Rosioption to check the activities of the Eurasian Youth Union (EM) for the legality of its work. The reason for this was the accusations of espionage, raised by the "Eurasians" against Professor Valery Tishkov.

To check the work of the ESM "for compliance with its activities by Russian legislation and the statutory goals" demanded the Moscow Bureau of Human Rights (MBPC) and the Moscow Anti -Fascist Center, said the director of the MBPC, Alexander Brod.

Human rights activists, in particular, are concerned about the statements of the representatives of the ECM to the head of the commission on the issues of tolerance and freedom of conscience of the Public Chamber Valery Tishkov. "We, as representatives of the Russian public, are outraged by the suddenly began aggressive persecution of an outstanding Russian scientist -ethnologist, a prominent public figure, truly Russian intellectual Valery Tishkov," Interfax quoted Brody's statement.

"We urge the paintings and the General Prosecutor's Office immediately give a legal assessment by outrageous and unlawful, in our opinion, the actions of the EU and protect Tishkov and his colleagues from slander and other insults," the statement said.

Recall that last week, Esm accused Tishkov of espionage in favor of the United States. Representatives of the Union argued that Tishkov, who heads the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, "under the guise of scientific activity was engaged in the collection of intelligence in the interests of America", and the network "network of ethnological monitoring and early prevention of conflicts created by the Institute helps to incite interethnic conflicts."

Valery Tishkov himself called the incident revenge on the part of the leader of the EU, Alexander Dugin. According to him, having put forward the accusations of espionage against the ethnologist, Dugin wanted to get even to criticize his insolvent geopolitical theories, reflected in advance in the project of a new textbook on social studies.
