The prices of the global market for oil on June 29 again approached the maximum since the beginning of the fall of 2007. On NymEx, futures have grown to the mark of $ 69.6 per barrel, Brent grade price for $ 72 per barrel, according to Bloomberg. The price of oil - in any case, in separate varieties - fluctuates around the sign of $ 70, but it cannot yet overcome it yet.
The increase in prices for oil futures in New York and London was caused by unexpected deficiency of gasoline stocks in the United States, as well as expectations of reducing oil supplies from Venezuela . Nevertheless, the official prices for oil futures have not changed significantly and were established by the end of the auction lower than they were at the beginning of the week, RBC reports.
At a seasonal rate of 92-94%, the loading of oil refineries in the United States is now only 89.4%. At the same time, the demand for gasoline in the country exceeds its production by almost 200 thousand barrels per day, and the supply of gasoline is 5.5% less than its last year.
Fear of reducing oil supplies to the world market is caused by the fact that the world's largest oil companies Exxonmobil and Conocophillips have left the international project to develop oil fields in the Orinoko River basin. Only four foreign companies remained to work in this country: BP, Chevron Corp., Total SA and Statoil Asa. "Oil giants" did not agree that more than 60% of the shares in the joint venture will belong to the Venezuela government.
Without participation in the Exxonmobil and Conocophillips project, investments in the oil industry of Venezuela will be significantly reduced, experts are convinced, which will not allow the Government of Hugo of Chavez to realize plans to increase oil production from 2.4 million to 5.2 million barrels a day.
At the same time, more active purchases of oil futures do not occur today, since the supply of raw oil in the United States has grown - over the past week by 1.6 million barrels. Now it is almost 4% higher than their last year. In four weeks, oil reserves in the country increased by 8.7 million barrels and exceeded the so -called comfortable level - 350 million barrels. Commercial reserves of raw oil in the United States officially amounted to 350.9 million barrels.
