Baghdad wedding bombing: 17 dead

At least 17 people have died in an explosion in Baghdad. The explosion occurred at the entrance to the photo studio, where guests of the wedding ceremony were photographed. 25 people, including the bride and groom, were injured.

A car filled with explosives took off into the air in the Abu Dshir area in the south of the Iraqi capital. The area is a Shia enclave in the predominantly Sunni Baghdad suburb of Dora.

Hundreds of people have become victims of explosions and mortar attacks here in recent months.

Currently, a massive military operation by the US and Iraqi military continues in this area. The purpose of the operation is to end the violence on the basis of inter-religious clashes.
