“A prosperous full -fledged life for millions of people in the country is a mission of any power and this is our duty,” Medvedev emphasized.

As for the mission of Russia in the world, then, according to him, it was “set by the character of our state”, which is the largest state on the planet, which has huge natural wealth and uniting a “very creative nation”.

Therefore, Medvedev believes, by virtue of the historical place of Russia, we cannot evade the performance of a number of duties today.

In the 1990s, as Medvedev noted, when the role of Russia weakened, there was a deficiency of its presence in the international arena. “Without Russia, as a full -fledged international player, the picture of the world cannot be complete,” the First Deputy Prime Minister is convinced.

In this regard, he stated that he sees his task and the task of the government to build work in such a way, "so that Russia is a fully functioning organism, a prosperous state in which we want to live not only our citizens, but which our neighbors would like to come."

For his part, Ivanov noted that he should not get involved in “messianism and dogmatism,” but expressed the opinion that in Russia there are really certain things that should be attractive to the world community, in particular, high morality and culture.
