“Rubin” lost with nine players to “Rapid”

Yashin moved to Lokomotiv

Alexey Yashin, who played last season for the New York Islanders National Hockey League club, signed a one-year contract with Lokomotiv. Yashin already performed in Yaroslavl in 2005 during the NHL lockout, and now the parties decided to continue cooperation.

The 33-year-old forward was not satisfied with the terms of the contracts that NHL clubs offered him, and negotiations with New Jersey, Washington, Atlanta and other teams did not work out. In Russia, several clubs wanted to see the forward, but only Lokomotiv was able to offer an agreement that suited Yashin.
