
The structure associated with the owner of the basic element holding Oleg Deripaska applied to the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the acquisition of up to 82% of the shares of OJSC Power Machines, Interfax said.
The application was submitted on July 31 by an offshore company, the final beneficiary of which is Oleg Deripaska. The company's name is not yet disclosed.
On July 27, the Interros Holding Company, which owns 30.4% of the shares of Power Machines, has distributed an official statement that she was selling a package in the company. Two other shareholders - RAO "UES of Russia" and Siemens have a predominant right to buy out shares belonging to Interros. One of the structures of Alexei Mordashov, the head of OJSC Severstal, also claims to be the shares.
The head of the RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais proposed a share of energy holding in "power machines" to sell at an open auction. He believes that the emergence of a Russian strategic investor among the shareholders of the “power machines” will be positive for the company.
In the "power machines" it is allowed that in the near future other applicants for the control package of shares of the company can also contact the FAS. Along with Oleg Deripaska, the applicant was also called the "Renova" of Victor Vekselberg. Pretendent companies should obtain FAS permission to participate in the competition for the acquisition of a package of "power machines" owned by RAO "UES of Russia".
