The leader of the Party of Regions, Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych at the Congress, which was held on Saturday in Kyiv, presented the party’s election program.
It notes that for the first time in Ukrainian politics, the party offers a fundamentally new state strategy for providing social guarantees throughout life. In particular, according to the Party of Regions, the one -time assistance at the birth of a child is not widely advertised by "orange" populists and cannot, in principle, solve the birth rate.
In its pre -election program, unlike the Orange, the Party of Regions proposes that since 2008, a family for the first born child will receive 11.7 thousand UAH, for the second child - 25 thousand UAH, for the third and each next child - 50 thousand UAH. In addition, upon reaching a child of the age of three and up to 13 years, the family will receive a monthly 100 UAH, and from 13 to 18 years old - 200 UAH. The current course is $ 1/5.05 UAH.
In the field of pension provision, the Party of Regions proposes to introduce registered pension accumulative accounts since 2009, in the field of healthcare, promises to provide hospitals at all levels with the necessary medical equipment using the financial leasing mechanism in the period 2008-2009.
In the field of the agro -industrial complex, the Party of Regions Program provides for the completion of the free privatization of personal plots of citizens with the issuance of state acts in 2008. In addition, according to the election program, the party intends to legislatively ensure the creation of the legal and transparent market of the Earth, which will guarantee the minimum rental fee for at least 400 UAH. for hectares per year.
The Party of Regions also promises to increase the social security of military personnel. In the field of foreign policy, the Party of Regions states that Ukraine’s entry into NATO will be resolved only on the basis of a popular referendum. Also, according to the program, membership in the EU or WTO is not an end in itself, but an increase in the well -being of citizens to expand the capabilities of the domestic economy, science and education.
The Party of Regions also attaches important importance to Ukraine in a single economic space.
In addition, the party advocates the provision of the status of the state language to the Russian language. “For this, a stable majority is necessary in the Verkhovna Rada,” the election program notes.
The Party of Regions in the last parliamentary elections in the spring of 2006 took first place among 456 participants in the campaign.
