The basic part of pensions in Russia will increase to 1260 rubles per month

The basic retirement pension from October 1, 2007 will increase by 13.2% to 1260 rubles. This was announced at a government meeting on Thursday by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov, who for the first time holds a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the absence of his head Mikhail Fradkov.

Ivanov noted that from October 1, the size of all pensions, including the basic retirement pension, disability and pensions in connection with the loss of the breadwinner, will grow. As a source in the Government of the Russian Federation previously said, in this way it is supposed to "increase the material well -being of pensioners."

At the same time, persons who have reached the age of 80 years or are disabled people who have a restriction on the ability of the third degree, the size of the basic part of the pension is set in the amount of 2520 rubles per month. In addition, the size of the basic part of the labor pension for disability in the second degree is set in the amount of 1260 rubles, and at the first degree - 630 rubles per month.

The size of the basic part of old -age and disability pensions to persons who are dependent on the disabled family members will be established in increased size, depending on the number of such family members. For each dependent, the base part of the pension will increase by 420 rubles. The size of the basic part of the labor pension in the occasion of the loss of the breadwinner will be set in the following amounts: children who have lost both parents, or children of a deceased single mother (round orphans) - 1260 rubles per month (for each child); other disabled members of the family of the deceased breadwinner are 630 rubles per month (for each family member).

Funds for the implementation of the bill are provided for in the budget of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation for 2007, the source said.

According to the deputy chairman of the board of the Pension Fund of Liliya Chizhik, by the end of 2009, the old -age pension will grow by 67 percent. Thus, the level outlined in the annual message of the president of the country will be exceeded, where by 2010 the growth should be 60 percent. Such pension growth parameters are laid down in the country's three -year budget.

The fundamental feature of the program for 3 years is the “absolute increase in the basic part of the pension”: this year it will increase to 1260 rubles, in 2008 - to 1540, in 2009 - to 1950 rubles, ”Chizhik said.

The average level of pension in Russia is now 25 percent of the former earnings of a pensioner. At the same time, agricultural workers receive a pension in the amount of 58 percent of the former earnings, teachers - 46 percent, doctors - 43 percent. The lowest coefficient of veterans who worked in harmful working conditions - miners, metallurgists - only 14 percent, because they had a rather high (compared to others) salary.
