
The next meeting of the Council of the Heads of the SCO state was decided in 2008 in Dushanbe, and in 2009 - in the Russian Federation, in Yekaterinburg. This was stated by Kyrgyzstan President Kurmanbek Bakiev following the results of the SCO summit in Bishkek on Thursday, Interfax reports.
He explained that in this way, from today, the relay of the chairmanship in the SCO from Kyrgyzstan is transferred to Tajikistan.
Bakiev positively appreciated the results of the work of the Summit and expressed confidence that further cooperation within the organization will be aimed at ensuring joint efforts in the field of ensuring regional stability and security.
According to the president, "the parties expressed the desire to increase economic cooperation, in the same damage as political and believe that economic interaction enters into the stage of practical implementation."
The President of Kyrgyzstan also stated that the agreement on long -term partnership, friendship and cooperation signed by the summit, "documented the partnership nature of the relations between the Strans."
