The mayor of Arkhangelsk Alexander Donskoy, who continues to be under investigation, wrote his first letter due to the grille, reports Echo of Moscow . In a message published by the New Gazeta , the mayor complains about the conditions of the detention and pressure from the investigation. He is threatened with a deterioration in the conditions of stay in the pre -trial detention center.

In a letter, the mayor writes that he asked the head of the prison to “get rid of the threats of prosecutor's office investigators who come to the pre -trial detention center and blackmail the detention conditions” if he does not abandon his position and participate in the State Duma and presidential elections. The head of the prison replied that they could not influence them, and they can, having started prosecutorial checks for any reason.

Nevertheless, Donskoy does not refuse his desire to run for the Duma and presidential elections. According to Donskoy, he has no connection with the outside world, and the prosecutor's office threatens to initiate a new business against him-this time because of his inaction in the preparation of the city for winter.

According to the mayor, the Arkhangelsk governor and the president’s envoy are seeking the appointment to the acting mayor of their man. The city is facing a catastrophe, claims Donskoy.

Donskoy notes that during his stay in prison, he "managed to get acquainted with many interesting people: killers, robbers, drug dealers, extortionist." According to him, people who are not yet convicted by the court tolerate deprivations no less difficult than prisoners in prisons.

For about a month, the head of the city administration has been in the investigative insulator of temporary detention.

The arrest of the mayor is associated with the publication of incriminating evidence against the governor of the region Nikolai Kiselev, which he published. Donskoy published on his website a video on which a person who looks like the governor of Nikolai Kiselev allegedly takes a large bribe. However, the Arkhangelsk prosecutor's office recognized these materials as a fake.
