The family of ordinary Andrei Sychev, who became disabled after the cruel beating of old -timers at the Chelyabinsk tank school, said that he did not receive any proposals to participate in the parliamentary elections as part of the Soyuz of the Right Forces.

“We refute all the rumors about Andrei’s participation in the elections. The leaders of the ATP almost in full force came to visit us, but there was no any proposal to the brother about the beginning of the political career from them,” the Sisthasa Sisthasa agency Marina Moffert reports.

Earlier, a number of Russian media reported that the Union of Right Forces invited Andrei Sychev to include his name in the party list in the December elections to the State Duma. The soldier’s sister added that she did not know where such rumors came from.

The incident with ordinary Andrei Sychev occurred on the night of January 1, 2006. With the connivance of the command, the drunken "grandfathers" mocked the young men for more than three hours, forcing him to sit bent legs and beating. Due to the injuries, according to the indictment, the victim developed ischemic venous thrombosis, which later complicated gangrene feet and lower leg. In January, doctors were forced to amputate Sychev both legs and genitals.

In May, the verdict made by the guilty of mockery of Sychev entered into force . Recall that the Chelyabinsk military garrison court sentenced the junior sergeant Alexander Sivakov to four years in prison with a colony of general regime. The side of the victim considered this punishment too soft, but did not appeal. The lawyer explained this with the extreme fatigue of all participants in the process.

Two more accused in the case - Pavel Kuzmenko and Gennady Bilimovich - received a year and a half conditionally with a test period of one year.
