Zubkov ignored the "Rodina" faction

The smallest State Duma faction - "Homeland" (folk will - SUPR - patriots of Russia) said on Friday that she did not wait for a meeting with a candidate for Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov, RIA Novosti reports. “The candidate ignored our faction, although we were waiting for him,” said the deputy from this faction, Yuri Savelyev at the plenary meeting of the chamber.

The State Duma speaker Boris Gryzlov replied that the leadership of the faction did not apply for a meeting with Zubkov. "There were no applications for a meeting from your faction," Gryzlov said.

The faction headed by Gennady Semigin includes eight deputies.

On Friday, the candidacy of Zubkov for the post of prime minister was appointed. The day before, he held consultations with deputy factions. All of them, except for the Communists, spoke out for his candidacy.
