Last year, an employee of the American ABC News television company Alexis Debat is accused of publishing false interviews with senior faces that were published in the French journal Politique International. According to ABC News, the presidential candidate Barack Obama, the former head of the federal reserve Alan Greenpensen, millionaire Bill Gates, former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg said they had never given an interview, which were published in the journal under the name of Debat.
Until recently, Debat worked in the Nixon center in Washington. He had to quit the last Wednesday after representatives of Obama stated that the interview with him signed Debat was fake.
Debat himself confirmed that he had never interviewed. He allegedly hired another reporter - Rob Sherman - and translated his materials for the French magazine. However, he could not get through to the mystical Sherman. In other statements, Debat says that he wrote approximate questions for political figures and sent them to Politique International, where correspondents wrote answers to questions, and Debat only translated these answers.
The editor -in -chief and founder of Politique Internationalale Patrick Weissman called the journalist a "monstrous liar" and promised to take all possible measures to punish him.
