The State Duma on Friday will consider Viktor Zubkov’s candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of the Russian Government. The procedure is assigned at 12.30, reports Echo of Moscow.

The outcome of voting in the lower house can be considered a foregone conclusion. The vast majority of deputies, with the exception of the Communists, want to see him head of the office. The speaker of the chamber Boris Gryzlov the day before said that Zubkov could count on the support of more than four hundred deputies, although he needs to get only 226 votes.

The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the State Duma, Alexander Koskopkin, will present the appropriate report to the deputies. Further, Zubkov will make a report "On the program of the main areas of activity of the Government of the Russian Federation" and will answer questions from deputies. Each State Duma faction will be able to ask Zubkov two questions and speak in the end, after which the deputies will vote on the consent of the president to appoint Zubkov as chairman of the government.

During the discussion of his candidate in parliament, Zubkov intends to name the closest priorities of the government. He spoke about them the night before on the broadcast of the Vesti 24 television channel. "I will talk about the priorities that the government should allocate in terms of macroeconomic development, in terms of the development of the regions, the development of our industry, about the state of electric power, in relation to corporations," said a candidate for premieres, who is now heading financial intelligence.

Particular attention, according to Zubkov, should be paid to issues of social development. “The economy should develop,” he said, adding that if the economy develops, the macroeconomic situation will improve, “it will be easier with social issues.”

Zubkov also noted that the country is developing and demonstrating good macroeconomic dynamics. “Things are going on in construction, in the consumer market,” he commented on the state of the Russian economy.

On Thursday, Zubkov held consultations with deputy factions. A great resonance was caused by his phrase about ministers unloved by the people. According to the deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party of the Communist Party, the premiere candidate said that "those ministers whose species causes rejection of people and their right to pursue their previous policy will not be in the new office."

Zubkov harshly criticized the activities of the financial and economic bloc of the government, as well as a social block. He stated that he considers personnel and structural changes inevitable.
