The departmental inspection of the Okhmatdet hospital has been completed

The commission of the Ministry of Health, having completed an inspection of the Okhmatdyt hospital, recommended returning building #15, which is now rented by the private Boris clinic, to the hospital's ownership and placing a clinic there for the treatment of HIV-infected children. Boris says that they are “ready to consider the ministry’s proposals” if they are paid a penalty and given new premises.

Yesterday, a commission of the Ministry of Health completed an inspection of rental relations and the legality of using the property complexes of the Okhmatdet children's specialized hospital. It was assumed that the audit would help resolve the conflict between the hospital management and the tenant of one of its buildings (#15) - the Boris clinic (see Kommersant on September 12).

As Kommersant learned, based on the results of the inspection, the Ministry of Health commission recommended returning building #15 to Okhmatdyt. The commission justified its decision by the need to place the “Clinic for the treatment of HIV-infected children” center, created in May within the hospital’s structure, in this premises. The director of the center, Svetlana Komar, told Kommersant yesterday that back in March, at a meeting at the Ministry of Health, at which the possibility of extending the lease of the building by the Boris clinic was discussed, Health Minister Yuri Gaidaev “lobbied for Boris’ position, but never put his signature on the agreement - I was probably afraid."

The head doctor of Okhmatdyt, Yuri Gladush, told Kommersant yesterday that attempts “to evict Boris, whose lease expired two years ago, have not been successful during these two years.” According to him, Boris’s security simply did not allow clinic representatives into the building.

The president of the Boris clinic, Mikhail Radutsky, told Kommersant that on September 20, the Supreme Economic Court confirmed the clinic’s right to rent one part of the premises until the end of February 2008, and the other until March 2009. “We entered into an agreement on the lease of premises with the State Property Fund. If the Ministry of Health turns to it with a corresponding request, the fund can break it, paying a penalty and providing the tenant with new premises,” said Mr. Radutsky. “If the fund agrees to this, we are like a law-abiding The company will consider his proposals."
