In Dushanbe, the Evrazes summit was opened, RIA Novosti reports. The meeting, which takes place in a narrow composition, is attended by the presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the presidents of Moldova and Armenia, who are observers in the EU EXEPEC.

Before the meeting, the meeting participants were photographed on the porch of the Somon Palace, where the meeting takes place.

Speaking at a meeting of the EURSECEC Inters Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin, to whom the owner of the summit, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, handed the floor after a brief introduction, said that "it is necessary to sign several key documents from the prepared package, including forming the foundations of economic activity of the EurAsEC and customs regulation."

"I know that our experts did a good job, but some of the colleagues would like to discuss a number of topics deeper," Putin said.

As previously, the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Sergei Prikhodko, said, according to the results of the EurAsEC summit, a package of documents regarding the creation of the Customs Union will be signed.

"The main attention on the summit is supposed to be given to the problem of the formation of the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia on the basis of the agreements on the agreements reached in August 2006 at an extraordinary meeting of the EU EXEPEC in Sochi," he told reporters on the eve of the meeting.

"Based on the results of the consideration of this issue, it is planned to sign the priority international treaties that are part of the legal framework of the Customs Union," said Prikhodko.

According to him, in particular, the signatures will be put under an agreement on the commission of the Customs Union, an agreement on the creation of a unified customs territory and the formation of the Customs Union, a protocol on the procedure for entering international treaties that form the legal framework of the Union, withdrawing from them and joining them. These three documents will sign the leaders of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
