
The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office issued a warning to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko for mass poisoning in the Stavropol. In the presentation in the name of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation, the Prosecutor General’s Office also demanded “to organize at the proper level the work of the territorial bodies of Rospotrebnadzor to fulfill the powers assigned to them and resolve the issue of attracting to the disciplinary officials who committed these violations.”
On the facts of the disease of children with acute intestinal infection in the cities of Lermontov and Kislovodsk, criminal cases have been instituted under Part 1 of Art. 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules"), which are investigated in the Main Investigation Department of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in the Stavropol Territory. The course of the investigation is under the control of the prosecutor's office.
From the beginning of the outbreak of dysentery in Stavropol, according to October 9, with a preliminary diagnosis of "general intestinal infection", 717 people, including 654 children, were addressed to doctors, the prosecutor's office of the Stavropol Territory said.
