David Sylvian will perform in Moscow

David Sylvian, songwriter and singer, owner of a wonderful baritone and an impressive musical background, comes to Moscow again three years later. Taking into account the musician’s dislike for touring, the capital’s music lovers have made up their minds: they are about to experience one of the most serious musical events this fall.

When Sylvian presented his album Blemish in Moscow in the spring of 2004, his performance looked more like a chamber concert than a loud club show. A “sit-down” hall, slow, mesmerizing music, the sound of David’s voice chilling to the bone. The listeners, both those who had known the words by heart for a long time, and those who came to the concert on the advice of friends, were equally satisfied. An important and attractive feature of David Sylvian's live performances is that he almost completely changes the usual album arrangements of his - well-known - songs, literally turning a Hindu religious hymn into guitar blues.

Together with David, his dream team will perform in Moscow. Sylvian's team this time includes his brother Steve Jansen, who played with David in the important post-punk project Japan, bassist Keith Law and keyboardist Takuma Watanabe.

The current visit as part of The World Is Everything tour promises to be more thorough and spectacular than the previous one. Over the course of three years, Sylvian’s albums have increased, and people’s love for the singer was fueled by the media, who finally tasted this musical miracle.
