A soldier hanged himself in Chelyabinsk

In Chelyabinsk, the case of suicide of a military service from a military unit serving the airfield of the Chelyabinsk Military Aviation School is investigated, Interfax reports with reference to the deputy head of the military investigation department for the Chelyabinsk military garrison Oleg Khabin.

A 19-year-old soldier was discovered hanging in a loop on Monday morning. According to him, the soldier was drafted into the army from the Chita region a year ago. The soldier was seconded to the service of guard dogs, worked in a dog nursery.

"Last Sunday, the soldier arbitrarily left the service and went beyond the borders of the unit. Friends saw him on the city adjacent to the part of the city in the company that drank alcohol," the investigator said.

As it was established, during a joint drink late in the evening between a soldier and his acquaintance girl, a quarrel occurred, after which the young man ran away in an unknown direction.

"The next morning, passers-by found it hanging in a loop in an abandoned building of the air-repairing plant. During the inspection of the body of the victim of visible bodily harm, no injuries were detected," the investigator said.

He noted that according to investigators, suicide was committed in a state of strong intoxication as a result of a quarrel with a girl.

"A criminal case has been instituted on this fact under Article 110 of the Criminal Code (bringing to suicide). This version is also checked," Kabin said.
