Young Russian chess player became European champion

Nikita Ayvazyan was brought to the Moscow chess school named after Tigran Petrosyan three years ago by his great-grandfather, the famous sports commentator Naum Dymarsky. Now Nikita is coached by Konstantin Kosteniuk, the father and mentor of the famous chess player Alexandra Kosteniuk, who received the grandmaster title at the age of 14 and won the title of vice-world champion, European and Russian champion.
Nikita Ayvazyan has already received the first category, and two years ago he played a draw in a simultaneous game with the then world champion Vladimir Kramnik. Now the young champion will have to compete in November at the World Championships in Antalya, Turkey.
