Don't go, stay with me, Or Ode to Sanity

Not just often, but literally every day. No longer in one place, but in several at once. No longer 100-200 people, but 15-20 thousand each. In squares, in factories, on the pages of newspapers. Famous and completely unknown people. They all ask Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin not to abandon us and stay for the Third Term. And, you know, I even believe that many, perhaps the majority, write, come and ask sincerely. That for some reason only a push is given, and then it picks up momentum on its own...

What has always been characteristic of our people is common sense. The light is red, but if there is no one at the intersection, then why wait for the green light? Some little thing is lying badly - why not take it, someone will steal it anyway. One day, a student friend of mine amazed the people by stealing an English-Japanese dictionary (!). And he didn’t just steal it, but immediately confessed when they asked if anyone had taken the dictionary. He confessed, sincerely perplexed, “What’s wrong with this?” All the same, it was lying here on the table like it was no one’s – so I took it. This is common sense.

And from the point of view of common sense, think for yourself: presidential elections are coming, and who to choose? Uncle Vitya? Siamese deputy prime ministers? There is no one more worthy than Putin, but no! And the people are in favor with all three hands. And even if this is contrary to the Constitution, it is common sense. If the Constitution is contrary to common sense, then why should we follow it? It was written for the people. So let's rewrite it for the people!

We need to look at the problem more broadly. Why are we asking Putin to stay for a third term? The third term is also not eternal - it will end even faster than the first two. Will all the problems in the country be solved in the third term? No, no. Where should he go after the third term? There is no worthy replacement for him now, so where will it come from in four years? The authority and experience of Vladimir Vladimirovich will already be such that an alternative to him will become completely impossible. So who should we leave the country to? 140 million people (however, in 4 years there will be less), in Kaliningrad it is two o’clock in the afternoon, and in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky it is midnight - well, where can we find a second one who could govern the country?

There shouldn’t be three terms, and there shouldn’t be four. There must be a new entry in the Constitution: as many times in a row for any number of years - and the five-letter last name of that specific person who, during these years, has fulfilled the duty of not just the smartest, but the only smart person in the country.

And there in the Constitution write down among the inalienable rights of citizens: the right not to think, not to choose and not to be elected, the right to non-freedom of speech and non-freedom of conscience. Because if I don’t want to speak, think and choose, who has the right to force me? Write all this into the Basic Law and demand its strict observance.
