To be completely frank, for a long time there was a feeling that radio "Culture" did not hurt anyone and needed it. From the very beginning, it was in an absolute information blockade. The audience of Radio Kultura is the audience of the elite, the audience is absolutely refined just because it has found a way to find out what radio Kultura is.

In quantitative terms, this is about a hundred thousand people every day, which is not so much, but not so little either. And in general, this whole situation with radiometry, ratings and with what numbers the ratings of such niche channels should be calculated, this is a separate very big conversation. The numbers are small, but this is a very high-quality audience. Now the advertiser on the chaff (and I call the volume of the audience chaff) cannot be fooled, he is more interested in a quality audience.

How radio "Culture" will live and how it will be financed is by no means a narrowly secret or corporate issue. Media such as the Kultura TV channel and Kultura radio are also a zone of public interest, and some kind of public attention, public control over what is happening there, should also exist.

Now, when the political struggle is heating up, all resources are treated with great attention, including the radio resource. And I fully admit that one of the projects related to the interest in the frequency on which Radio Kultura now broadcasts was some kind of political project.

There is still an opportunity for people to influence this situation. I'm not a big fan of signed letters, but a letter doesn't hurt anyone either. Upstairs, they must understand that there really is an audience, these are not some kind of "frostbitten" old men and old women who listen, crouching in their last efforts to the radio. This is not true, the audience of radio "Culture" is much wider. Let them be 20 thousand, 30 thousand, but these are people who have their own vision, their own understanding, including the development of this country.
