In particular, among the militants killed yesterday, Salamat Israpilova was identified, who is suspected of shooting in August of this year the deputy head of the Buinaksk city police department, Abdulmazhid Rasulov.The battle in one of the residential areas of Makhachkala began early yesterday morning. At about 3.30, almost the entire block around Nekrasov and Tankaev streets was cordoned off. The evacuation of residents took about another hour. Not everyone agreed to leave their homes, since one of the elite districts of the Dagestan capital became the special operation zone. The target of the FSB and Ministry of Internal Affairs special forces was a two-story private house No. 58 on Tankaev Street, in which several militants were allegedly hiding.
Before the shelling began, those in the house were asked to surrender. In response, shots rang out. For a long time, it was unclear exactly how many people were resisting the security forces. Shooting at police special forces was carried out from several firing points and practically did not stop for three hours. During this time, all the special forces available in the republic and armored vehicles of the 136th motorized rifle brigade stationed in Buinaksk were brought to the site. A protracted siege began.
The shooting from the house stopped only after one of its floors caught fire around 11 am. A woman with two children came out of the building shouting “don’t shoot.” Immediately after this, three more bandits ran out of the house and tried to break out of the cordon. They managed to get to a neighboring house, where they were blocked and destroyed. After this, the command of the special operation, which occupied the building of a nearby school, gave the order to storm. The house was first shelled with grenade launchers, then destroyed by an armored personnel carrier.
The sappers were the first to approach the ruins. They found five corpses under the rubble. Three more bandits killed in the neighboring yard were also brought here.
Among those killed were two women and six men. By the evening, the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs announced their names, in particular, stating that the 27-year-old leader of the “Buinaksk jamaat” Khizri Mamaev was identified among those killed. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the last time he “checked in” was on November 4, when a detachment in the Buynaksky district was fired upon. Then two people died and one was wounded. Along with Mamaev, Askhar Abakarov, his wife Salamat Israpilova, Dinara Daidieva, Ruslan Avlakov, Imamurza Amirbekov and Kurbanov Mehdi Elkhan-ogly were killed. As the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated yesterday, members of this group were involved in the shelling of a Defense Ministry convoy and the explosion of six employees of the private security department of the Kizilyurt City Department of Internal Affairs .
However, as it turned out, until yesterday the special services knew only four of the killed militants. 18-year-old Dinara Daizieva was detained in February of this year after a major terrorist attack that occurred in Buinaksk, during which two soldiers were killed . A TNT block and a detonator were found at her home. A criminal case was opened against Daizieva, but the case did not go to trial. The special services refused to say why she was released then. According to Daizieva’s relatives, the prosecution fell apart during the trial, since all the evidence against her was fabricated. Since then, the girl, according to her relatives, lived in the house with her mother and younger sister. At the end of last month, she reported that she was going to work in Makhachkala, and disappeared.
Askhar Abakarov was also previously detained in Buinaksk on suspicion of connections with militants. After one of his arrests at the city police department at the beginning of this year, he disappeared and was put on the wanted list. Israpilova had been wanted only since August. According to the special services, on August 3, she personally shot up the car of the deputy head of the city police department, Abdulmazhid Rasulov.
How exactly they managed to catch all the suspects in one place remained a mystery yesterday. Not long ago, operatives received information that the leader of the group, Mamaev, moved from the Buynaksky district, where he was hiding with relatives, to Makhachkala and rented a house.

According to the participants in the special operation, this is the pregnant wife of one of the killed bandits. Together with her, according to preliminary data, two children of Israpilova and Abakarov left the besieged house.
