The police department of the Frunzensky district Vladimir is conducting an audit on the fact of an attack on a mosque in the regional center.

As the Interfax agency was informed in the police, "the attack was committed last on Tuesday evening. During an eyewitness survey, it turned out that four unknown people threw the windows of the mosque. Before that, for several years in the Vladimir mosque they broke glasses three times, once tried to set it on fire, once unknown people threw it into the building," said the source Agency.

The issue of initiating a criminal case will be resolved at the end of the audit.

"The main motive for committing an offense is still considered hooligan motives," the police department specified.

Recall that after the next attack on the mosque committed at the end of October of this year, the Council of the Russian Muftievs made a statement in which the hope was expressed that the law enforcement agencies would take all measures to "identify the perpetrators of the ugly attack on the temple." The document emphasized that Vladimir is one of the centers of the richest Russian culture, "this is the city of traditions based on the peaceful life of representatives of the peoples of our Russia, which has absorbed the centuries -old culture of the peoples representing Russia."

The Council of Muftiev also called on the Islamic community of the country "not to succumb to any provocations, to remain calm", and the authorities, law enforcement agencies - not to allow "such unlawful shares."
