
The PACE delegation consisting of 55 people, led by a speaker in Russia by the Belgian Luke Van Den Brande arrives in our country to participate in the mission of observers in the State Duma on December 2. "The main goal of this mission is to observe the objectivity of the upcoming elections," a source in the Assembly said.
During his stay in Russia, the delegation intends to get acquainted with the electoral process, meet the heads of political parties, representatives of the media and NGOs, RIA Novosti reports.
"It is planned that members of the PACE delegation will be in Central Russia, Siberia, as well as in the Far East," the source noted.
"European Parliamentarians will take part in the Assembly of the OSCE Assembly of the press conference following the election on December 3," said a source in the assembly. At the same time, he found it difficult to answer the question of when exactly in the PACA the document would be submitted following the results of the observation mission in Russia.
The PACE delegation will be in Russia until December 4.
