Russia's black year

This year was marked with the seal of Cain from the very beginning. The Silver Age ended 90 years ago. And in 2007, it became clear that yet another westernization of Russia, the Yeltsin era, had ended in failure.

This year, Vladimir Putin called the year that determines the further development of Russia. The year of Boris Yeltsin's death was the year of the unbridled KGB attack on the ruins of his Cause and the public announcement of the era of glasnost, market reforms and the humanization of life in the country as a catastrophe, the humiliation of Russia and chaos. And this assessment is enshrined in the documents of the successor of the CPSU, the new "leading and guiding" party - the United Russia party. In this black year, Article 6 of the late Soviet Constitution on the privileged position of the illegitimately ruling party was de facto restored in our country.

90 years ago, the RSDLP (b) seized power by force, closed the opposition press organs, dispersed and outlawed the liberals - the People's Freedom Party, the Constitutionalist Party - the Cadets and created a punitive body for reprisals against dissent and economically independent classes of society. And this year, the Chekists imposed on us the autocracy of their mouthpiece, their proteges-United Russia, making the whole of Russia a lair, where the law is the taiga, and the prosecutor is a bear, continued to strangle the remnants of the independent press, declared war on the Russian Cadets - the SPS party, disrupting its election campaign and branding liberals allegedly "jacking at foreign embassies."

After a year of fighting against "orange" Ukraine and a year of fighting with Georgia, the Chekists made 2007 the year of anti-Estonian propaganda, imposing on a small European state the perpetuation of the symbol of Soviet rule, the monument to the Bronze Occupier (that is, the Soviet Soldier) on the main square of Tallinn. Here, the Chekists did not disdain either violating the status of diplomatic immunity by organizing a coven of "Nashi" at the Estonian embassy, ​​or organizing hooligan antics and pogroms in Estonia itself. All the cracks and cracks between the Georgian government and the Georgian opposition were used to try to overthrow the Georgian president and create something like a protectorate in Georgia, from which, fortunately, nothing came of it. But fateful words about the Anschluss, about the annexation of Abkhazia to Russia, nevertheless, sounded.

90 years ago, the black year of Russia was marked by the fall of the royal crown. And this year will be remembered for the fact that, contrary to the Constitution, they tried to put the crown on the president (in the form and under the guise of “national leadership”). And he did not reject it, standing at the head of the United Russia usurpers and appointing Dmitry Medvedev as his "successor".

This year, the dispossession of owners continued, which for some reason was called “velvet re-privatization”. The property was taken away from Mikhail Gutseriev and continues to be taken away from the inhabitants of Sochi under the pretext of the Olympics.

In the same year, the “dissenting marches” were dispersed and two dissenters, Lev Ponomarev and Garry Kasparov, were sentenced to administrative arrest for the first time after the August revolution. This year, also for the first time in 20 years, journalist Natalia Morari, declared an undesirable foreigner, was deported from Russia to Moldova for her bold publications in The New Times. In parliamentary elections, illegal and illegitimate, Russian democracy was beaten with boots, and the West, betraying its own values, rewarded Putin and his guardsmen with the 2014 Olympics. The country's path back to the USSR has finally become Putin's plan.

The only thing that did not fit into this plan was the beginning of the release of The New Times, and there is nothing more for Russians to congratulate on New Year's Eve.
