Georgian opposition canceled a rally

The opposition coalition said that she would not hold a protest planned for Tuesday. Supporters of presidential candidate Levan Gachechiladze decided to prove their innocence in the courts, reports civil.ge.

But the opposition claims that many cases of manipulation of the results were recorded in the sites. Opponents of Saakashvili expect that the final results will change after canceling the voting results from the disputed sites.

According to News-Georgia, about 450 complaints were received by the election commissions with a demand to cancel the voting results in 40 polling stations. This was announced by the chairman of the CIK Levan Tarkhnishvili. Observers in these areas recorded serious violations, including facts of stuffing to the urns of unnecessary ballots.

On the voting day, Gachechiladze actually announced his victory. His supporters promised permanent protest rallies. On Sunday, about 10 thousand people gathered in the center of Tbilisi for a rally. On Monday, on the Orthodox holiday of Christmas, it was decided not to hold the action. She was planned to resume the next day.
