The Sudaller of the Tugboat Switzer Korsakov, captured by the pirates off the coast of Somalia, turned to the English company to resolve such conflicts in negotiations with the invaders of the vessel. According to RIA Novosti, this was announced by the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Vladimir Nosov.

At the moment, the tugboat was driven to the port of Mogadisho, said the captain of the Sakhalin rescue report on duty.

“There is no threat to the crew’s life,” he said. “There is everything necessary for normal life on board the ship.”

There were six people on board the "Switzers of Korsakov": two Englishmen and four Russians. Russian names - Nikolai Berezovsky, Alexei Lichkunov, Peter Simochkin and Evgeny Komkov. Meanwhile, the British Foreign Ministry confirmed the presence of only one subject of the United Kingdom on board the tugboat - the captain of the ship.

Meanwhile, the command of the Russian Navy said that the strengthening of sea piracy confirms the need for the presence of Russian warships in the oceans. Earlier, the Navy’s ship strike group completed a trip to the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, which began in December last year.

Russia notified NATO ships about the capture of Svitser Korsakov. In the area where the incident occurred, there are no Russian ships yet, said the assistant to the Commander -in -Chief of the Navy Igor Dygalo on the air of the Echo of Moscow. According to him, a ship of any country can come to the aid of the Russian-British crew.

This is not the first attack on the Russian ship off the coast of Somalia. In 2003, the pirates tried to capture the Russian tanker with gasoline, which came from Saudi Arabia to Kenya. The ship was fired at machine guns and grenade launchers.
