
Hollywood director Stephen Spielberg refused the post of art adviser to the Olympiad in Beijing. According to Reuters, he called the Refusal, he called China’s policy against Sudan, as well as a conflict in Darfur.
“Thanks to economic, military and diplomatic relations with the Sudan government, China may and oblige him to put pressure on him,” said Spielberg.
"My time and energy should not be spent on the preparation of the Olympic ceremony, but to help in resolving the conflict in Darfur, where terrible crimes against a person continue," Spielberg said.
China is the largest importer of Sudanese oil and a weapon supplier to the African Republic. More than 200 thousand people have already become victims of a long -term conflict in Darfur.
