In China, a copy of the Russian Su-27 fighter was collected. As the Vedomosti writes on Thursday, if the Chinese learn to make an analogue of the Su-27 in series, they will easily replace Russia from the markets of third countries. At the same time, as the expert of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies, Konstantin Makienko, told the publication, it will be extremely difficult to prove the fact of copyright violations for such a complex technology.
Since 1992, Russia has delivered 76 Su-27SK to China, and in 1995 sold another 200 aircraft. Since 1996, called J-11, they were built in Shennyan using Russian components. By 2003, Russia put 95 sets for J-11, another 105 China has not signed a contract. The share of Chinese components in the J-11 increased, but the engines Al-31F and Avionics were imported from Russia.
In 2003, the US Security Center expert Richard Fisher predicted, the Chinese J-11 will be created in 10 years, but the Chinese coped faster. “The breakthrough in the technology of engines manufactured by the share of Chinese details and technologies from 70-75 percent to more than 90 percent,” says Andrei Plotnikov, an authorized representative of Rosoboronexport.
The fact of copying the Su-27 at the Chinese Embassy in Russia and the commission on defense science and technology and defense industry China refused to comment. According to the top manager of the Russian air hiring, several “kitsized” J-11 are collected, however, with Russian components, and there is no talk of serial production yet.
