This year OSAGO does not rise in price

Today, the Statats-Secretary, Deputy Minister of Finance Sergey Shatalov informed reporters following the meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation that the tariffs for compulsory insurance of auto-citizenship (OSAGO) will not increase this year. According to him, insurance payments allow insurance companies to carry out this business quite hacking. It is reported by ITAR-TASS .

Shatalov noted that in some regions of Russia, indeed, insurance companies suffer losses in this area, but as a whole in the country the situation looks quite favorable. As he stated, an agreement was reached with car insurance workers on the provision of materials with a detailed financial and economic justification for raising OSAGO tariffs, and this, according to the deputy minister, should happen in the near future.

According to the statistical materials of Rosstrakhnadzor, in the past 2007, Russian insurers earned 30.3 billion rubles in OSAGO. As for the contributions of car owners, they increased by 10.2% last year compared to 2006 - up to 70.4 billion rubles. OSAGO payments increased by 20.4% to 40.1 billion rubles.
