In second place is the candidate from the Communist Party of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov - 17.76 percent of the vote, in the third - the leader of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky with 9.37 percent. Self -nominated, head of the Democratic Party Andrei Bogdanov scored 1.29 percent of the vote.

The news agencies note that Medvedev set an absolute record in the presidential election in Russia, gaining 51.94 million votes. In 2004, Vladimir Putin, according to official figures, received 49.6 million. Putin Medvedev did not beat Putin’s interest record: for four years he got the votes of 71.31 percent of voters.
