
The prosecutor's office of the Zeisky district of the Amur Region began a check on the fact of an outbreak of SARS with intestinal syndrome among more than 40 students of the Zean boarding school No. 9. According to the regional prosecutor’s office on Monday, 41 children aged 7 to 12 years old fell ill in total. They noted that 23 children were hospitalized in the infectious department, and the state of four is assessed as moderate.
"Previously, children have a diagnosis of acute respiratory viral infections with hyperthermic syndrome. However, the diagnosis will finally be known no earlier than Monday," the prosecutor said.
"It is assumed that drinking water could be the source of infection, which was possibly infected with the breakthrough of the boarding system of the boarding school on March 8," the prosecutor said, referring to the territorial administration of Rospotrebnadzor.
In turn, the Office of Rospotrebnadzor reported that the doctors diagnosed the Salmonellosis to four pupils, Interfax reports. Currently, according to Rospotrebnadzor, the total number of infected children has increased from the previously reported information about 33 children to 41 children.
At the same time, 23 children are hospitalized in the infectious department of the district hospital, 18 undergo treatment in the school isolator. Specialists of Rospotrebnadzor conducted anti -epidemic measures, research of water and food products in a boarding school.
The results of the tests will be ready in the near future.
