A strange story in the Congo: the "Russian" owner of the airline unscrewed the engines from other people's aircraft

Four Congolens and one Russian were arrested in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for the plunder of the aircraft. Five arrested found at the airport of the city of ARU in the east of the country, when they unscrewed and tried to carry spare parts from the An-12 transport aircraft. The plane was seized after a serious accident, and he had long been at a forced parking at the airport.

One of the detainees, Enzoroni pointed out, is Russian. However, his surnames and the name, as well as citizenship, is not indicated. It is only said that he is the owner of the Bel Glob private airline, one of the aircraft of which, also the An -12, remains in the parking lot at the airport of the city of Bunia, near the Aru.

It is noted that in Africa Russians are often called not only citizens of the Russian Federation, but also representatives of other CIS countries.

According to preliminary data, the detainees tried without permission to remove two engines from the An-12. In addition, according to military police who detained five people, the Russian "did not have on legal grounds to be on the territory of the DRC." The plane from which there was an attempt to pick up spare parts belongs to the Congolese private company Vimbi Dira. He has not flew since October 2005 after a heavy disaster.
