It's time to dot the i's and finally acknowledge the full advantage of the new organization over its legendary communist grandmother. Let's look at the question practically: why did you join the CPSU? Let's leave aside the saints and the poor - I'm talking about the bulk. That's right, they joined in order to travel abroad for clothes, and made a career in order to have rations. The hundredth section of GUM was a bright image of communism, a muskrat hat was its shining pinnacle. But how many dollar billionaires were in the Supreme Soviet of the USSR? Here's something!

The communist nomenklatura lived well under three bearded portraits, but how does this compare with the life of the current elite under the portrait of one smooth one? It’s even embarrassing to compare Pitsunda with the Cote d’Azur… It was possible to steal big even “under the roof” of the Central Committee: the legendary Krasnodar secretary Medunov was, they say, not a poor man… Colleagues of "United Russia", the Krasnodar Governor Tkachev - and where is Medunov? Yes, this is some kind of midge, not a level at all.

And note: the midge was crushed, and on the horizon near Tkachev you can’t see either Andropov or the Party Control Commission ... And you will still compare these Soviet horrors with the current raspberries?

Therefore, take into account: the life of Medunov and other communist bosses was constantly overshadowed by one unfortunate circumstance: you had to pretend all the time that you were building communism!

While some in the neighborhood took this venture seriously. In the early days, they went to their deaths to the sounds of the Internationale, funny people! Then, of course, more practical guys came, but the seriousness around the idea did not diminish at all: one pockmarked leader of the last century had specific plans for the globe: he made a contract with the devil, built the Dnieper Hydroelectric Power Plant, drove millions of people into the ground, including associates. It was a serious undertaking.

And now - a pure, unclouded sinecure!

What about ideological battles? It was the Iliad! Giant against giant. On the left - Trotsky, on the right - Bukharin, and everyone - under the knife ... And now? On the right is Pligin, on the left is Isaev, and everyone is alive, and what can this corner of grandfather Durov do to interfere with? There is no ideology at all: they themselves, in broken words, once said so, in the sixth year of leadership of the country. It is necessary, they said, to look for an ideology ...
