The real name of Max Planck was discovered

According to the record of baptism, the great German physicist Max Planck, the founder of quantum theory, was actually called Marx Planck. Such a discovery was made by journalist Karl Dahmen, looking at books in the church archive of the city of Kile.

Marx is the transcription of the Latin name Marcus once common in Germany. Record about the baptism of Marx Karl Ernst Ludwig Planck in the Church of St. Nicholas (St.-Nikolai-Gemeinde Zu Kiel) in Kil is in two copies: the original church book and the same period of the copy.

Recall that on April 23, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Max Planck turned 150. The journalist worked in the archive, preparing to mark this date.
