One of the US presidential candidates from the Democratic Party Barack Obama, last week, fired his adviser Robert Mally, who maintained contacts with the Palestinian Hamas terrorist organization, the British weekly The Sunday Times reports.

According to the publication, Molly confirmed that he had regular contacts with the leadership of Hamas. But at the same time, he emphasized that these contacts were carried out as part of his work in the International Crisis Grusis Group, ICG), which is engaged in solving Middle Eastern problems, and had nothing to do with work in the Barack Obama team. Molly said that he never hid the fact of his work in ICG.

Ben Labolt, a representative of Obama, explained that Robert Molly was one of the hundreds of other experts who acted as voluntary advisers to conduct Obama election campaign.
