OJSC "Territorial Generating Company N1" began accepting applications for participation in the competition for the construction of a combined cycle power unit with a capacity of 180 MW of the Central Thermal Power Plant (St. Petersburg). According to the company's press service, applications will be accepted until June 16, 2008. The cost of the work is not announced.

The winner of the competition will have to develop a project, detailed documentation, carry out construction and installation work at the site, as well as provide warranty service for the power unit.

Completion of work is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2010.

The Central Thermal Power Plant is one of the main projects of the TGC-1 investment program until 2015. During the comprehensive reconstruction of the thermal power plant at its first power plant, it is planned to build a gas pipeline, carry out a comprehensive reconstruction with the installation of generating equipment and repair the electrical part of the thermal power plant. At the second power plant, part of the thermal power plant, it is planned to build a gas pipeline, phased replacement of boilers and installation of two turbines of 50 MW and 100 Gcal/hour, as well as reconstruction of the electrical part of the thermal power plant. At the third power plant, a comprehensive replacement of equipment will be carried out and a pumping station will be built.

OJSC "TGC-1" was registered in 2005. Since November 1, 2006 The interregional production complex TGK-1 operates as a single joint-stock company. TGC-1 unites 55 power plants in four constituent entities of the Russian Federation - St. Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia, Leningrad and Murmansk regions.
