The City Court of St. Petersburg sentenced two 17-year-old boys on the basis of a jury verdict, Interfax reports with reference to the press service of the city prosecutor's office. The culprits of the brutal murder were convicted of 9.5 years in prison. They will serve his sentence in the educational colony.
Previously, the jury unanimously found young people guilty of the death of the child.
As the court established, in February 2007, convicts specially came to their victim with the aim of robbery and murder. They knew for sure that the boy returned home from school and was at home alone. The pretext for the arrival of the guests was the desire to check the work of the CD.
“After the child let out the guests, they attacked him and stabbed him, inflicting more than seven blows with a knife,“ explained to the prosecutor's office. The attackers brought the gun with them.
The child died, and the teenagers collected valuable things and disappeared. Jewelry, radio equipment and mobile phones totaling more than 100 thousand rubles were stolen from the apartment.
The court also satisfied the civil lawsuits of the victims and issued a decision to recover 250 thousand rubles from the parents of the defendants in compensation for non -pecuniary damage, 174 thousand rubles for reimbursement of funeral expenses and 10 thousand rubles in the provision of legal assistance.
The court decided to recover these amounts from the parents of the convicts after their majority. One killer will be 18 years old at the end of June, and the second - at the end of October 2008, reports Fontanka.ru .
The accusations of the convicts were charged under P.P. "B", "g", "h" of part 2 of article 105 (the murder of a person in a helpless state committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), paragraph "in" part 4 of article 162 (robbery), part 1 of article 228 (drug storage) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
