Dmitry Medvedev officially said goodbye on May 27 with the Board of Directors of Gazprom, and on the same day the chairman of the board of the concern, Alexei Miller, announced the new priorities of the company, writes "News Time" .
"Now the main task set by the board of directors is the domestic market," he said. - The Russian economy requires more and more energy resources, since economic development, growth in the economy is an increase in energy consumption. "
Internal gas supply remains less attractive to manufacturers compared to export. The “principle of equalization” (when the price for Russian enterprises will be calculated from the cost of gas on the German border minus 30%customs duties and transportation costs) no earlier than 2014-2015 .
All the efforts of Gazprom on the “market development”, the newspaper believes, and were still associated with lobbying for gas prices for industry (a softer rhetoric has been adopted in relation to the population for political reasons). At the same time, the volume of gas exports is due to long -term contracts providing for the growth of supplies. And in some cases there are intergovernmental agreements that have a priority status in relation to internal legislation, in accordance with which the gas supply of Russian consumers occurs.
According to the results of liberalization, instead of competitive prices with other types of energy resources, gas consumers in Russia will have to receive a price that is designed to erase the profitability of Gazprom.
And if in European markets (especially in Western Europe), the Russian concern is forced to compete with alternative suppliers, then in the domestic market this is simply impossible due to the monopoly position of Gazprom.
Nevertheless, in Gazprom, they do not agree with the plans of the Ministry of Economic Development to postpone the transition to the "equity" of the domestic and external gas market until 2014. “There was a decision to switch to equity in 2011,” his representative told the newspaper the newspaper. “But in connection with the growth of export prices in 2011, there will be a 40%increase in domestic prices for industry. And the principle of equalization should earn since 2012.”
