The teams of the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, VTB Bank, the united trade union organization of the Presidential Administration, the State Duma and the Federation Council competed in sports competition. The team of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, VEB's longtime sports rival, also received an invitation to the festival. “It has become a tradition that sailors of the Russian Black Sea Fleet take part in our sporting events, guarding the shores of the Fatherland far from the Motherland,” noted Vladimir Dmitriev. This year, two newcomers appeared in the ranks of the “Partners of the 21st Century” - the ROSNO and MTS teams. “The number of guests at our festival grows every year, the team of “Partners of the 21st Century” is expanding, and Vnesheconombank is an attractive force. We are proud that we have so many friends and partners!” - Mr. Dmitriev emphasized.
What makes 21st Century Partners special is its family spirit. “First of all, this is a family holiday. We specially develop a children's program for each festival, because we understand: if the children don’t come, then the parents will stay at home. And since the main value is human capital, we want as many of our employees and members of their families as possible to come here to relax. After each festival, we remember this holiday for a long time. It perfectly contributes to the development of corporate spirit and corporate unity,” Sergei Noskov, director of the directorate for banking activities, explained to Vremya Novostei. Therefore, to ensure that the youngest “partners” did not get bored, fun competitions were organized, and the festival was crowned by a football match with the participation of the VEB children’s team.
Adults divided into teams could try to reveal their potential in a variety of sports: table tennis, darts, floorball. But the most interesting, of course, promised to be a mini-football tournament. From the stands, Mr. Dmitriev himself supported his subordinates, who never tired of shouting “Well done!” at the top of his voice when the team hammered another ball into the opponents’ goal. His forecasts for the outcome of the tournament were the most optimistic, because last year it was VEB’s team that turned out to be the strongest. However, this year, fortune decided differently: the VEB football players lost in the final on penalties to the team of the Yantar stadium employees, having played in a draw in regulation time. The third place was taken by the rookie team ROSNO.
