Chubais's demolitions were justified

Last Thursday, June 5, the jury acquitted three former military men who were accused of attempted on the now former head of the RAO UES of Russia Anatoly Chubais. According to the jury, the investigation could not prove the guilt of the defendants. Former General Staff employee Colonel Vladimir Kvachkov and former military personnel of the 45th Airborne Forces regiment Alexander Naydenov and Robert Yashin were released from the guard in the courtroom.

Anatoly Chubais in his statement called the acquittal of the jury of the jury, although he believes that "such a mistake - the justification of the perpetrators - is better than the punishment of the innocent."

“I have the fault of Kvachkov, Yashin and Naydenov is not in doubt ... I am sure that Kvachkov and those who support him hate me and wish my death,” said Anatoly Chubais.

The representative of Chubais in the trial Andrei Shugaev expects the prosecutor's office to appeal the verdict of the board. According to the investigation, the crime was committed on the basis of extremist views and hostility to Chubais.

Former GRU Colonel Vladimir Kvachkov, justified by the jury college, said: “We fought, we believed. We were saved by the jury. This is the only court that remained justice in Russia. The process of attempted attempt on Anatoly Chubais has been going on since 2006. Twice, under various pretexts, the jury colleges bloomed, the presiding judge also changed. The defense of the defendants always argued that these actions are beneficial to the prosecution and are aimed only at preventing the jury to bear the acquittal.

As Polit.ru already wrote, an attempt on the head of the RAO UES of Russia Anatoly Chubais was committed on the morning of March 17, 2005. At the exit from the village of Zhavoronki on the Minsk highway, an explosive device worked next to a motorcade of Chubais passing by. The motorcade consisted of three cars - an advanced car, armored BMW with the head of the RAO UES and a guip jeep with security. After the explosion, unknown people opened fire from machine guns on the motorcade. During the shelling, the security machine that opened the return of fire was most affected.

At the scene of the explosion, a funnel was formed with a diameter of 5-7 meters and a depth of about 1.5 meters, also found shot bullets of 7.62 millimeters from the Kalashnikov assault rifle. The explosion was damaged by several cars driving in a passing and oncoming direction. As the explosive equipment was installed, a home -made mine worked, the explosion capacity was about 500 grams in the TNT equivalent. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.

Three hours later, on suspicion of committing a crime, a former GRU Colonel, a saboteur-spec, Vladimir Kvachkov was detained. On April 20, 2005, his alleged accomplices were arrested - former paratroopers Robert Yashin and Alexander Naydenov. The son of Vladimir Kvachkov, Alexander and the son of the ex-head of the State Printing State Public, Boris Mironov, who allegedly participated in the organization of an assassination attempt, were put on the wanted list. The investigation called Vladimir Kvachkov’s personal hostility to Anatoly Chubais, but then decided that the attempt was committed for “orthodox-nationalist” reasons. The 32-year-old Kvachkova Jr., who worked as a security guard at a commercial bank, is still looking for. On the day when the Chubais car was blown up, he asked his colleague to replace him at work, and since then nothing was known about his fate. 27-year-old Ivan Mironov was detained only in December 2006, so his case was allocated into separate production.

According to the prosecutor's office, comrades were preparing in advance for the attempt on Anatoly Chubais Kvachkov in advance. The surveillance of the head of the RAO UES began no later than November 2004, as evidenced by the list found during the search of the house at Kvachkov Jr., on which the numbers of various cars were recorded, and the time of their location at the RAO UES office. Among them was the number of the car Anatoly Chubais. In February 2005, Robert Yashin, who introduced himself as Igor, rented a two -room apartment in a five -story building in the village of Zhavoronki Odintsovo district of the Moscow Region, where the cottage of Chubais was nearby. From this house, the official’s house was perfectly visible, but also the road along which Chubais went to work daily. Having studied the schedule of movement of the object, the attackers decided to eliminate it by laying a bomb on the sidelines of the Mitkinsky highway, 650 meters from his intersection with the Minsk highway. As experts later established, the power of the explosive device was from 3 to 12 kg in TNT equivalent. The bomb was filled with steel nails, washers and nuts. Kvachkov remained in his Saab on the sidelines of the Mitkinsky highway, waiting for the accomplices with whom he had to help to hide. The investigation does not exclude that several more people participated in the attempt. One of them, most likely, warned the conversations by a walkie -talkie or a telephone about the approach of the Chubais motorcade. He could be on a nearby bus circle or in the apartment, which was rented by Yashin. The other, together with the rest, was in an ambush in a forest belt 50 meters from the place of attack (there were found five ice rods covered with spruce branches and layers of polyurethane). When the Chubais car appeared in 9.16, the criminals activated the explosive device and managed to release several automatic bursts with armor-piercing-oying bullets. The force of the explosion was such that the wires of the power lines passing nearby were cut off.

On September 26, 2005, the investigation was completed, on March 3, 2006, the case was transferred to the Moscow Regional Court. The suspects were accused of “encroachment on the life of a state or public figure”; “The attempt on the murder of two or more persons committed by a socially dangerous way by a group of persons by prior conspiracy”; “Illegal operations with weapons and explosives”; "Intentional damage to property."

Kvachkov in court took a special position with which he began to promote his views. He called the attempt on Chubais “one of the forms of national liberation war” and said that there was no crime in the attempt on the head of RAO UES, so there could be no fault. Having thus ensured the political PR, Kvachkov, who apparently considered that he had earned a reputation as a “people's avenger”, twice tried to get into the State Duma at the missiles in the single -mandate districts of Moscow: in the Preobrazhensky District in December 2005, he took second place from 28.9%, and in Medvedkovsky he was refused registration in February 2006.

The hearings of the case began only on October 17, 2006, since the court for a long time could not take away the jury. The process was held closed. On December 11, 2006, Ivan Mironov was detained in Moscow. December 20, 2006, when the process was approaching the end, the jury was dissolved. The reason was the incorrect declaration of the jury with the jury and supposedly exerted pressure through the media. On December 6, 2007, the second jury college was dissolved. The reason was that one of the assessors was registered with a narcological dispensary. For the third time, the case began to be considered on January 23, 2008, the process was again closed.

Note that the jury verdict followed almost immediately after the company of RAO UES was liquidated on July 1, 2008. Chubais himself said that after leaving the RAO "UES" will be responded. When asked what he is going to do after July 1, Chubais replied: “Everything is in the same state - there is no news. I’ll have a sleep for two years, at least. ”
