The rebellion in the colony #1 of the city of Kopeisk, the Chelyabinsk region, where four prisoners died, was impossible, since upon arrival the convicts undergo psychological and physical "processing". According to RIA Novosti, this opinion was expressed on Tuesday at a press conference by the President of the Sverdlovsk Regional Public Organization "Legal Foundation" Alexei Sokolov.
"According to the former convicted colonies with whom I talked, the riot in this colony is impossible. Upon arrival, all convicts go through the metal detector, they are stripped naked, so it is impossible to carry something to the camera," he said. "An attack on the staff can not be carried out, since they are taken for a walk for one."
According to him, it is also impossible to arrange a pogrom in the chamber, because controllers with batons will immediately come running. “Thus, the very thought of the rebellion in this colony is impossible,” Sokolov said.
In addition, all the dead were convicted for the first time, they have no connection with criminal authorities, he added. According to him, four convicts died from the beatings that the colony officers inflicted them. “I visited the morgue where the bodies of the dead were. There were strong traces of beatings on the bodies, in some places the skin even exfoliated,” he said.
According to the prosecutor’s office, on May 31, four convicted correctional colony on a walk attacked administration employees with a blade and sharp metal plates. Rubber sticks were used against the violators. They were placed in different cameras. The prisoners examined the doctors, but by the evening their condition worsened, and all four died.
According to the prosecutor of the Chelyabinsk region, Alexander Voitovich, during the riots in the Kopeisk colony, eight prisoners were injured, who are currently in the UFSB pre -trial detention center in the region. Investigative actions are carried out with them, including confrontation, he said.
