In Chechnya, BMP was fired

On Monday evening, in Chechnya, unknown militants fired at the infantry fighting vehicle from grenade launchers, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.

"On Monday evening, in the village of Bamut Achkhoy -Martan District, at the intersection of Sheripova and Sovetskaya streets, presumably, three unidentified persons in camouflage form fired from the infantry fighting vehicle," the source said.

According to him, the BMP moved as part of a column of one of the military units of the Ministry of Defense. The militants, following the shots of grenade launchers, opened fire from machine guns and machine guns along the BMP. The combat vehicle of the infantry completely burned down, the personnel managed to escape, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.

As a result of the shelling, a shrapnel wound received a woman living in a nearby house.
