The speaker of the Ukrainian parliament assured that the "Orange Coalition" is still alive. The opposition is waiting for new early elections

The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that the "Orange Coalition" formally continues to exist, despite the way out of it, two deputies , which led to the loss of "orange" parliamentary majority. So he responded to the request of the opposition party of regions about whether the de jure coalition exists. The faction expects that in the near future the alignment of forces in parliament may change. And its leader Viktor Yanukovych predicts new early elections.

At the meeting of the Rada on Tuesday, Yatsenyuk said that, according to the country's constitution, the coalition of the majority in parliament forms fractions, not deputies, because the cessation of the majority of the majority should be linked to the decision of at least one of the factions of the release from the coalition, Interfax reports.

"Formally -legal, in accordance with Article 83 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the coalition of deputy factions continues to exist," the speaker said. He sent all the doubters for official explanations to the Constitutional Court. "In accordance with Article 147 of the Constitution, 45 people's deputies of Ukraine have the right to appeal to the Constitutional Court for official clarification of Article 83 of the Constitution," Yatsenyuk said.

According to him, given the above, there will be no changes in the work - until the situation changes. "There will be another decision of the Constitutional Court, there will be a decision of the faction, there will be relevant announcements," said the speaker.

The official announcement of the “Orange Coalition” that had lost the majority has previously been demanding that the opposition Party of Regions has a de jure. The first deputy leader of the faction, Alexander Efremov, said: "If there is no coalition, then all issues related to the government to consider in the Verkhovna Rada doubtfully. After all, the option is not excluded that a new coalition will be created and new offers on the agenda will be." If the coalition were recognized as not existing, then, according to the deputy, one could begin the return countdown until the end of the Rada in its current composition.

The leader of the Party of Regions, Viktor Yanukovych, previously stated in an interview with the Air Force that he sees two ways to clarify the situation - creating a new coalition or “next” extraordinary elections, reports Newsru.ua . He even expressed confidence that the second scenario will happen sooner. “The elections will soon take place. When it will be timely, it’s hard to say so far. But they will be,” Yanukovych said. As for the creation of a new coalition, as the leader of the faction emphasized, this should not be reformatting its old composition, but "a new coalition with those political forces that are able to take responsibility."

At the same time, according to Yanukovych, the early elections of 2007 destabilized the situation in the country. “If the country further goes this way, life will never improve, it will deteriorate. I think that we must stop this process and, in the end, collect constructive pragmatic political forces and work on solving specific problems that are standing today,” the ex -Prime Minister said.
